Senior Demand Analyst

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for Business Analysis and End-to-End Business process detailing work in Large Complex Transformation Programs and Projects for ERP Transformation – ERP Surround applications in the role of Senior Business Analyst.

Main responsibilities shall include:

  • Capture and Analysis of Business and Solution Requirements, focussed ERP surround applications, contextual of E-E Business processes.
  • Understand Process context of as-is, relate to proposed to-be processes
  • Able to capture and detail As-is Key Business Processes
  • Able to perform Technical writing for key aspects of the Business processes especially the As-is critical processes and activities
  • Support Program and Project management to plan and manage solution delivery execution including business and technology stakeholders management
  • Work with managers to identify risks and provide mitigation plans
  • Lead Business Requirements capture, analysis and definition to establish solution requirements baseline, especially for the e-e process leg impacting ERP Surround application footprint
  • Translate business requirements into systems qualities and thence into repeatable design strategies and patterns that enable those qualities (e.g. adaptability, scalability, availability, reusability, etc.)
  • Conduct and Produce Impact Assessment and Feasibility, Gap Assessment, Solution Options, AS-IS and TO-BE Architecture Blueprint, Project Charter and Roadmap Definition –especially for surround Applications in Ooredoo landscape
  • Based on the Requirements Create or Align Business Processes, Scenarios, Use Cases, Exceptions and other additional required viewpoints in order to translate Business Requirement into actionable solution requirements and designs
  • Work to bring together various stakeholders and outline in Business Terms to Define and Illustrate clearly the Business Need and how the underlying Technology Solution will deliver expected benefits for the Organization
  • Identify Surround ERP–Solution Architecture Building Blocks and their role to outlines Impacts and Solution in terms of People, Platforms and Processes
  • Work with Enterprise and Solution Architecture Teams to ensure compliance to Best Practices and Principles
  • Manage and support to achieve traceability of requirements across the project lifecycle from initiator, to solution requirements baseline, to design, build, test and deploy.
  • Communicate effectively requirements and solution to various stakeholders considering the target audience e.g. business community, architecture and technical teams or UAT, focussing on ERP surround applications
  • Prepare Functional Description Documentation for the Solution i.e. solution description understandable to business community, tracing back to requirements and also aligning to overall solution architecture and design with focus to consider how the end users shall perceive and use/benefit from the solution
  • Act as part of project team, collaborate effectively with Vendors and In-House participants at various organization levels
  • Analyse current business processes, work methods, assets/artifacts and propose improvements where appropriate
  • Produce or Review Project key business analysis and design deliverables such as Business Requirements, Use Cases or Solution High Level Design, Migration and Test Strategies and ensure compliance with business and solution requirements
  • Together with other team project members, take part to conduct and support Show and Tell sessions with end user community
  • Support in building Business Analysis and Business Architecture capability in the company

Minimum Experience and Essential Knowledge

  • 10+ years’ experience with majority of the work in the Telecom sector
  • Prefer last 4 years+ in ERP Surround applications functional impact analysis work experience
  • Excellent knowledge, understanding and proven track record on delivering complex business and technology transformations as Business Analyst & Requirements management
  • Key focus of managing Requirement and delivery cycle using SAP solution manager –ALM toolkit, focussed on ERP surround requirements lifecycle can be managed in tandem with BAU Demand management tools and process.
  • Overall detailed understanding of Process modelling, Requirement gathering, analysis is must backed by relevant experience focussed in the ERP domain. Oracle EBS feature level understanding is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Business Operations: Marketing, Sales & Services, Customer Care, Finance as well as Technology Operations: Demand, Networks, Information Technology
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of ERP Functional application areas, in particular Finance, Supply chain, HR and Enterprise project and performance related areas
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Systems Integration Architectures and Patterns, Migration Strategies to carry out complex transformation
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Business Processes and Telecom sector products and offerings for both B2B and B2C and their underlying realization for the various Lines of Business: Mobile, Fixed, TV & Media, ICT Services
  • Past experience and knowledge on Telecom sector leading IT and Networks solution provider solutions and applications such as: Oracle EBS, ERP Surround applications , SAP earlier version (is good to know, but not must).
  • Good understanding and awareness of Technology and relevant Telecom Industry evolution trends and their risks and opportunities for telecoms such as Omni-Channel, Digitalization, Mobility and Big Data Analytics
  • Good understanding of Telecom sector related standards bodies such as TeleManagementForum (TMF) and Value stream analysis
  • Practical experience and prior working experience in Information Technology (IT) is considered a plus
  • TOGAF 9 certification demonstrating knowledge in Business Process & Requirements management, concepts & skills is considered a plus
  • IT Industrial Certifications or Post Graduation with specific focus on Practical deployments is considered a plus
  • PMI, PMP or Prince2 certified demonstrating knowledge of planning and managing complex transformation initiatives is considered a plus
  • Ability to work in dynamic and challenging environment and support to manage multiple parallel complex initiatives as business analyst
  • Ability to work very closely with Technology Architecture Teams, in order to bring together Business need and the required underlying Technology realization, to deliver expected benefits to Organization
  • Ability to work across the organization in multi-cultural environment with various stakeholders and domains and in various levels from Subject Matter Experts to Senior Management

  • Good cultural awareness and past experience working in the Middle-East is considered a plus
